About me
__________

I’m Lucy and I’m the founder of The Mill Dog Training based in Sandy, Bedfordshire.

My love for dogs began when I was 8 years old and my family gained their first four legged friend, a black Labrador called Meg. After Meg sadly passed away, the house felt empty and quiet and she had left such an impact on us, so along came Millie, pictured with me here.

When I realised I wanted to turn my passion into a career, I was on the look out for dog training instructor classes and came across The Association of Pet Dog Trainers and completed their course in October 2020. Since then, I have continued my education completing CPD courses in the field and Victoria Stillwell’s Dog Behaviour conference in April 2022. To gain hands on experience, I have shadowed local dog trainers to gain knowledge in how classes are run and what to expect.

Helping dogs develop into the happy, calm and confident animals they are is where my heart lies and I can’t wait to help your dog on their journey.

our Approach

At The Mill Dog Training, we believe in helping your dog in positive ways only and don’t force dogs to do anything they’re uncomfortable with or could cause behavioural issues later on. We have been trained using the most up to date and ethical methods around and are confident this is the best approach in training dogs to be their best.
